COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Receive comments from the public regarding the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the period April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.  The CAPER is a report on how the City utilized its Entitlement Funds in the amount of $291,838 for the period April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.

BUDGET – FISCAL YEAR 2019

Receive comments from the public regarding the proposed City of Sumter Budget for Fiscal Year 2019.

RZ-18-01, 1501 CAMDEN HIGHWAY

Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to rezone an approximate 8.21-acre portion of a larger parcel located at 1501 Camden Highway (Tax Map No. 202-00-03-005, part) from Agricultural Conservation (AC) to General Commercial (GC).

RZ-18-02, 200/202 WEST WILLIAMS STREET

Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to rezone two approximate 0.17 acre parcels located at 200/202 West Williams Street (Tax Map Nos. 227-12-01-018 and 227-12-01-017) from Residential-6 (R-6) to General Residential (GR).

RZ-18-03, 2810-2850 BROAD STREET

Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to rezone a 9.72- acre tract of land located at 2810-2850 Broad Street (Tax Map No. 203-00-04-024) from Planned Development (PD-05-02) to General Commercial (GC).

PD-00-08 (REVISION 20), 430 CONSTITUTION DRIVE

Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to amend the Mini-Storage Warehouse development conditions, specifically Section J.i. of PD-00-08, to permit a proposed mini-warehouse storage development site that exceeds the 4-acre maximum size limitation stipulated within the development regulations, and allows for two access points from Constitution Drive, specifically for Tax Map No. 185-00-01-127.  Also to add a new free-standing sign which will serve this parcel and other parcels front Patriot Parkway. 

In addition to revising the standards, the Planned Development calls for Major Site Plan and Highway Corridor Protection District Design Review approval (MSP-18-13/HCPD-18-11) of 80,400 sq. ft. of mini-storage with 800 sq. ft. of office space on property located at 430 Constitution Drive (Tax Map No. 185-00-01-127).

Consider First Reading of an ordinance to annex approximately 8.21 acres located at 1501 Camden Highway (Tax Map No. 202-00-03-005, part of).

LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Consider First Reading of an ordinance entitled:  “An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution, Delivery, and Performance of a Lease-Purchase Agreement and Other Documents Relating to the Lease Purchase Financing of Certain Vehicles and Equipment in an Aggregate Principal Amount of Not Exceeding $1,407,000, and Other Matters Relating Thereto”.
