Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to rezone an approximate 12.68-acre parcel of land located at 1770 Camden Highway (Tax Map No. 202-10-01-003) from Planned Development (PD) to General Commercial (GC).
Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to amend Article 3, Section 3.j.2 and Exhibit 3-5 of the City Zoning and Development Standards Ordinance to remove Nursing Care Facilities with SIC Code 805, Non-Emergency Medical Transport Services with SIC Code 4119, and Psychiatric Hospitals with SIC Code 8063 from the list of permitted uses within the Central Business District (CDB).
Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of a request to amend Article 3, Section 3.c.3; Article 3, Section 3.d.3, and Exhibit 3-5 of the City Zoning and Development Standards Ordinance to remove secondary schools from the list of conditional uses in the GR and R-6 zoning districts.
Consider appointments expired December 31, 2018 and other vacancies.
Consider First Reading of a request to amend a Planned Unit Development Ordinance (PUD-98-01/PUD-99-11), specifically to allow for the development of detached single-family residential units on specified parcels in Hampshire Estates located on Alice Drive Extension (Tax Map Nos. 203-03-02-025, 203-03-02-026, 203-03-02-028, 203-03-02-029, 203-03-02-031, 203-03-02-033 and 203-03-02-037).
Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2630 entitled: “An Ordinance Providing for the Issuance and Sale of a City of Sumter, South Carolina Hospitality Fee Revenue Bond, Series 2019, in the Principal Amount of Not Exceeding $2,000,000: Amending the General Bond Ordinance Relating Thereto, and Other Matters Relating Thereto”.
Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2631 entitled: “An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution, Delivery, and Performance of a Lease-Purchase Agreement and Other Documents Relating to the Lease-Purchase Financing of Certain Vehicles and Equipment in an Aggregate Principal Amount of Not Exceeding $1,896,000, and Other Matters Relating Thereto”.
Consider Resolution No. 764 authorizing a contract for a Generator Storage Building at Water Plant No. 6 located at 675 Justin Lane, off Highway 521 South.
Receive comments from Council members concerning matters of interest to Council and the City of Sumter.
