Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of an ordinance to revise the Hunter’s Crossing Planned Development located off Mason Road as follows: (1) increase the maximum total allowed residential units to 699 by adding duplex and townhouse units on the east side of Mason Road, in general accordance with conceptual plans submitted, and (2) add a new parcel to the Hunters Crossing Planned Development to be designated for commercial use. This revision is applicable to land east of Mason Road on property identified as Tax Map Nos. 202-00-01-032 and 202-00-01-009.
Consider appointments due to expire on December 31, 2021, and other vacancies.
Consider acceptance of a Maintenance Guarantee/Deed of Dedication for Phase 8 of Heritage Bay Subdivision (Lots 128-133 along Curlew Circle), and depicting Lots 165 and 166 on Curlew Drive as “Future Development”.
Consider the following additional allocations and amounts of funding for the City of Sumter through the American Rescue Plan Act proceeds to be used within ARPA funding guidelines as outlined in the Final Interim Rule as issued by the United States Department of the Treasury:
authorizing funding for Youth Employment (Ages 16 to 19) and Soft Skills Training for youth (Ages 14-15) through the City of Sumter Community Development Department;
authorizing funding to Sumter Habitat for Humanity;
authorizing funding to Sumter Veterans Council;
authorizing funding to The Family Unit, Inc.;
authorizing funding to the Sumter County Community Development Corporation;
uthorizing funding to the South Sumter Neighborhood Beautification Association;
authorizing funding to First Baptist Community Improvement Corporation;
authorizing funding to Durant Children’s Center.
authorizing funding for emergency rehabilitation for housing through the City of Sumter Community Development Department.
Citizens of the City desiring to speak must notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting by completing the sign-up sheet at the meeting room entrance. Comments are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.
To review any pending legislation pertinent to local government.
To discuss possible appointments to Boards and Commissions, and to receive legal advice relating to matters covered by the attorney-client privilege in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.
