RZ-21-25, 200 WEST WILLIAMS STREET

Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2767 to rezone an approximate 0.17-acre parcel of land located at 200 West Williams Street (Tax Map No. 227-12-01-018) from Residential-6 (R-6) to General Residential (GR).

LEASE-PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2768 entitled: “An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution, Delivery, and Performance of a Lease-Purchase Agreement and Other Documents Relating to the Lease-Purchase Financing of Certain Vehicles and Equipment in an Aggregate Principal Amount of Not Exceeding $957,000, and Other Matters Relating Thereto.

BUDGET

Receive preliminary draft budget for Fiscal Year 2023.

AMENDMENTS TO CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES

a)
Consider First Reading of an ordinance to amend Chapter 54 (“Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions”) of the City Code to prohibit the offenses of aggressive panhandling and soliciting.

b)
Consider First Reading of an ordinance to amend Section 98-38 of the City Code to clarify penalties for violations relating to unauthorized use of water valves and hydrants and tampering with water meters.

REDISTRICTING

Consider First Reading of an ordinance to adopt a Redistricting Plan for the City of Sumter based on the 2020 Census.

4.
POLICE DEPARTMENT

Receive update from Police Chief regarding activities of the Sumter Police Department for the Year 2021.

5.
COUNCIL REPORTS

Receive comments from Council Members concerning matters of interest to Council and the City of Sumter.

6.
CITY MANAGER’S UPDATE

Receive comments or reports from City Manager.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

To review any pending legislation pertinent to local government.
