Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of an ordinance to amend Article 8, Section H of the City Zoning and Development Standards Ordinance to allow transit-related signage and marketing panels on private property and on public property or within public rights-of-way

AMENDMENTS TO CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES

a)
Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2769 amending Chapter 54 (“Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions”) of the City Code to prohibit the offenses of aggressive panhandling and soliciting.

b)
Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2770 amending Section 98-38 of the City Code to clarify penalties for violations relating to unauthorized use of water valves and hydrants and tampering with water meters.

REDISTRICTING

Consider Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2771 adopting a Redistricting Plan for the City of Sumter based on the 2020 Census.

Citizens of the City desiring to speak must notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting by completing the sign-up sheet at the meeting room entrance. Comments are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.

 To review any pending legislation pertinent to local government.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

To discuss contractual matters, personnel matters, appointments to Boards and Commissions, and/or to receive legal advice relating to matters covered by the attorney-client privilege, if necessary, in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.
