Recognize City of Sumter employees with twenty (20), twenty-five (25), thirty (30), and forty (40) years of service.
Recognize winners of the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition.
Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of an ordinance to rezone two (2) parcels of land totaling approximately 0.68 acres from General Residential (GR) to Limited Commercial (LC). The property is located at 605 Boulevard Road and identified by Tax Map Numbers 250-03-02-024 and 225-03-02-029.
Consider Final Reading of Ordinance Number 2840 amending the Business License Ordinance of the City of Sumter to update the Class Schedule as required by Act 176 of 2020.
Adopt the 2024 City Council Meeting Calendar.
Consider acceptance of a Maintenance Guarantee/Deed of Dedication for Phase One (1) of Crystal Downs Residential Subdivision, consisting of lots 36-75 located along Affirmed Drive, Citation Street, Secretariat Street, and Ruffian Court.
Consider First Reading of an ordinance granting to The Congaree Land Trust a conservation easement in certain real property owned by the City of Sumter.
Receive comments from Councilmembers concerning matters of interest to City Council and the City of Sumter.
Citizens of the City desiring to speak must notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting by completing the sign-in sheet located at the entrance to the Council Chambers. Comments are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.
To discuss contractual matters, personnel matters, and appointments to Boards and Commissions, and/or to receive legal advice relating to matters covered by attorney-client privilege, if necessary, in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.
The public is hereby notified that if City Council holds an Executive Session, the City Council may take official action on the above-listed matters following the conclusion of the Executive Session.
