PD-00-08, CONSTITUTION DRIVE – ADDITIONAL TOWNHOUSE UNITS

Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of an ordinance to increase the number of  units allowed within the Townhouse Development on Brushwood and Constitution Drives from 52 to 56 in accordance with a site-specific development plan. This represents an additional 0.93-acre proposed for residential units within the commercial portion of Sumter West Planned Development. The property is located at 585 Constitution Drive and identified by Tax Map Number 185-00-01-128.

PROCUREMENT RESOLUTION

Consider Resolution Number 947 authorizing a contract for the second phase of the Riley Park Upgrades to include replacement of the existing scoreboard with a new Riley Park branded scoreboard.

TRANSFER OF PROPERTY

Consider First Reading of an ordinance to approve the transfer of four (4) parcels of city-owned properties.  The properties are located at 231 Manning Avenue and 107, 109, and 111 East Bee Street and identified by Tax Map Numbers 227-04-04-049, 227-04-04-057, 227-04-04-058, 227-04-04-059.

COUNCIL REPORTS

Receive comments from Councilmembers concerning matters of interest to City Council and the City of Sumter.

CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

Receive comments and/or reports from the City Manager.

COMMENTS BY CITY CITIZENS

Citizens of the City desiring to speak must notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting by completing the sign-in sheet located at the entrance to the Council Chambers. Comments are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

 Review any pending legislation pertinent to local government.

9.
EXECUTIVE SESSION

Receipt of legal advice relating to claims and potential claims by and against the City, the position of the City in other adversary situations involving the assertion or possible assertion of a claim against the City, and other matters covered by the attorney-client privilege in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws. 

The public is hereby notified that if City Council holds an Executive Session, the City Council may take official action on the above-listed matters following the conclusion of the Executive Session.
